I can finally let the cat out of the bag, I won a 2025 Yamaha TW200 from Cannonball Rides! I got the call in February that I was the winner and picked up the bike last week. It's a lot of fun!

I did my first Cannonball Rides route last May, starting with a 250 ride. I really enjoyed the challenge of having a time limit and having to document the ride with pics at various locations. I enjoyed it so much I did another 250 ride and then a pair of 500 rides. They were great for getting me to ride places a little different than my usual routes.

CBR 2025 starts soon and I'm looking forward to logging some more of their routes this season!

Congratulations @Morrissey.

Will we see the new bike in the Ride for Sight Poker Run, which is also sponsored by Cannonball Rides, in August?

I am not denigrating you, your victory, or the motorcycle in any way. But my first reaction was "Yamaha STILL makes those??"
It says a lot about a bike if it's still being built 38 years later! Apparently the only update was in 2001 when they went to a 12v charging system, swapped out the front drum brake for a disk and removed the kick-start so they could make it a 5 speed. Otherwise, it's exactly the same as it was in 1987!

Congrats.
If I remember correctly, I did my M2 course on that bike at RTI back in 2005.
I would buy one just because. If I had the space for it.

T-Dubs are awesome farm bikes. Turning radius is ridiculously tight. I can do figure 8s with one in a single regulation size parking spot.
Do you have a video of that? I know guys do figure eights in 2x2 parking spots with Goldwings - which is crazy - but doing it in a single spot in any bike seems a world more mind boggling to me.

As I try to imagine it, I think it would have been hard for me on my old BMX bike.

EDIT: Not questioning at all that you can do it. My mind is just blown and would love to see something like that. I can't find anything like that on Youtube.

No video unfortunately. And I don't have access to one right now.

We used to have a couple of T-Dubs at one of the riding schools where I taught at, and I was always practicing tight zig zags, u-turns and figure 8s. The TW has a very short wheelbase, wide lock-to-lock steering and relatively high foot pegs, so with enough counter-weighting, it will turn on a dime... or one parking spot.
