I`m in the same boat atm. Trying to decide between the v-strom 650 or the cb500x. My brother-in-law has the v-strom and loves the bike. I will be riding to newfoundland next summer. Can`t wait. :)

Microfiber cloth is what I use. I won`t use anything else.

I don`t cover anything on my cbr250r when I wash it. I just avoid getting any water down the exhaust pipe. Some water gets in. Just don`t spray towards it from behind.

The mayfield ramp is a long and straight ramp no curve at all. So 200kmph isn`t a problem. The limit drops from 90 kmph to 70 kmph I think.

I was at the Belfountain ice cream and coffee shop a couple weeks ago and the OPP was set up 100 feet down on mississauga rd handing out tickets for loud exhaust.

2 weeks ago I purchased a Nelson Rigg tail bag for commuting to work and for longer rides on the weekends. This week I decided to buy a matching tank bag from Nelson Rigg for even more storage. Here`s a few pics.
