Look in to SV1000, very cheap to insure and buy, should not bore you for at least 2-3 years.

They plates seems ok, I think if they were damaged/reversed the clutch would feel like crap while in operation, it only sounds and feels funky in neutral. Thanks for the input!

Looked fine, no metal shavings, was in one piece and seemed straight. That's why I am wondering if its normal and trying to see of another member can have me check their bike out and compare.

I checked the plates while swapping the clutch basket, they seemed fine. Not sure what the other owner was using, but I just put in Rotella in it.

I bought one this season, an '05. Clutch felt weird, shudder, meshing, vibes. Had a new clutch basket put in, somewhat helped but still get some sort of meshing feel from the clutch in neutral with the clutch out. Anyone has an SV1000 that they currently ride, for me to come in and compare...
