hey i say your message and wanted to know if you could give me some information.
i work in maintenance for a residential apartment and they have me working from 11pm to 8 am. but they only pay me for 8 hours and tell me my break is 1 hour. i also asked if i was on lunch and there was an emergency would i be required to leave my break to attend the emergency. and my supervisor and he replied yes. i thought i was suppose to be paid for all 9 hours in this situation. he also tried to lead me off by telling me i get paid for 8 hours not 7.5 hours. i would rather work 8 hours and get payed 7.5 hours. all of the workers don't like this but are putting up with it. i don't really care if i stir things up a but there over an hour of pay a day. even if i get let go over this at least the rest of the crew will get some benefit out of it. i tried to find the labor board number but i got lost on to slow site. any information and advise would be appreciated. thank you.
