Cornering. What RPM and gear should you be in before entering on a 600ss

As a VERY rough reference, they talked this in Twist of the Wrist. But not in terms of power range, but tire contact and suspension load point of view.

Port Dover: What is the draw?

Cool sight if you've never been, once you've been, then I'm not sure if there are other reasons you want to go again.

Recommending small bikes for new riders in the GTA

Yeah a little bit. Like a car, you don't go buy a Honda then complain about it not having torque. Parallel twins and inline 4 are inherently low in torque in the bottom end, if a torquey bike is what you are looking, then you're look at 1000s or V-twins.......or Harleys.

Recommending small bikes for new riders in the GTA

As a commute, the 250/300 is nice, you'll love it when you start sitting in traffic in middle of the summer. Bigger bikes are generally much much hotter idling than the smaller 250/300. And if you can't pull out in front of a car to pass him, just drop 2 gears, it's part of the fun IMO (you...

    Insurnace Trick or Fraud?

Not sure for bikes, but I assume it's the same as cars, but if you don't have valid insurance, you can't renew your plate sticker. I couldn't even renew my parent's sticker while they were away and put the car insurance on theft and fire only.

    Parking in downtown at night?

And remember, the 3-hr max parking rule still applies to motorcycle, so you should be aware that it might get towed/ticketed depending on Parking Enforcement. Look for other bikes in the building and see if they would share their spot for a fee.

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

Re: Citizen’s arrest - do Toronto cops need more training? It's a bit unrealistic to expect police to have training to be as good as the JTF2 to have the perfect reaction to every situation. Policy training barely last 3 months in Ontario, and that includes all aspects training: learning book...

    Good overpants over suit pants?

Have a pair of A* and Rev'it mesh overpants, they both work great, dress pants were never wrinkle. Only problem, they are kind of bulky with all the armour built in. So they are a pain to carry around and to put at the corner of the desk in the office.

    Uber starts a motorcycle service!

Already started, the last few GreenP lots I've been to already has the mobile app payment set up and running. Just a matter of time before they switch the pay stations to a license plate based system.

Owning a supersport in condo/underground parking apartment

I actually tried to look for a Hyosung bike cover to buy, but still haven't found one.

Seriously, what is up with multiple vehicle rates?

Can't say I'm an actuary to know what weight driving mileage factors into your premium. But I suspect even if you put on half the km in a year, it doesn't automatically mean your premium should be half of what it was. With the simple reason that just because you don't drive, it doesn't mean...

Seriously, what is up with multiple vehicle rates?

Your one coverage idea is basically incorporated into how you pay insurance already. Your rate based on what you drive, how much you drive it and when you drive it. If you have two vehicles, and let's say you put on a total of 20000 km a year, your premium reflects you put 20k on two vehicles...

Seriously, what is up with multiple vehicle rates?

I understand the sentiment, but 3% is crazy, wtf? I want to shop at your business if you own a shop somewhere. Would you want to run a business, put in the hard work and only have 3% of profit? And for insurance company, they carry a lot of risk, that 10% profit is only because they made money...

Seriously, what is up with multiple vehicle rates?

From what my friend who's been in insurance for a while explained to me. Auto insurance is pretty regulated, so any major rate changes need to be approved by the provincial gov't with detail proof showing why they want to change the rates. For auto insurance, while being the largest market in...
