1) it's hygroscopic (it likes water) so it will absorb water from the atmosphere and transport it through your engine which can cause rust and corrosion when you park it over the winter.

Ride it! haha I have ridden my cafe project around when it was half done (but still mechanically sound) with a beat up tank, weird grips and cruiser pegs. It's all about fun and if people look at you weird they're just jealous!
