I bought my bike there... They are fantastic. Scott is the sales manager, great guy. He was texting me at 1030pm (4 hrs after close to sort out paperwork on my deal since I wanted to pick the bike up early) Coleen is the office manager and went running around after hours rummaging through...
what do you need done? Tbh Harley's are really simple to work on and the part kits are really well laid out so it's not out of the question to do things yourself. When I relocated my turnsignals I bought the kit for 90$ and it came with spares for everything (such as pins for the plug, lock...
Not quite apples to apples, The street glide ran a 14 I think? That weight is a big penalty... The stock low rider with the 103 engine runs low 12's and a v-rod is low 11's. I think a good rider can get my bike into the mid 11's (not at all suggesting I myself could!). Isn't Internet...
noticed you have a nightrod! we've gotta hit a drag strip sometime and see how it compares ;) I'm thinking upto about 100km the Dyna will keep up and then your extra HP will take over.
Was at the bikeshow helping out Cutekill when a contact with Harley Canada grabbed me and said he found "my bike".... After hearing that it had every feature I told him I wanted a few months early I pretty much had to have it :) (.99% financing helped! but ultimately i wanted ABS, dual front...
I picked up my bike from the dealership today and then proceeded to Ride it 80km home even though my buddy had brought his trailer to tow it back. My hands were frozen but it was absolutely fantastic.
Still a lot of gravel out there. The cross wind was not fun. Can't wait for it to get...
my experience renting from Harley is if you call and plan on renting mid week they can negotiate multiday packages. Also keep in mind it's 24 hr periods so they could ask for a couple hours extention (pick up at 1 on one day you might be able to drop it off by 6 in 2 days and get allmost 3 days...
yeah, I don't get how these three are being compared... is it because of cost of a new 883 vs an 08 jackpot? They are so far apart that this is really more about the rider than the bike. if I was a new rider, and the image of HD matters (it did to me personally) then I'd go with the sporty...
I just picked up the Shark Evoline, haven't riden in it yet but I definitely noticed that it definitely drowns out noise when it's on. Seems pretty light but I know they have a carbon fiber version too (not sure if it's sold in Canada though). I paid 414 tax in at the show on the weekend.
As I've bought a bike again I've started to get excited!! At the bike show this week I saw a bunch of bike training booths and watched the golden helmet demo which got me thinking about how I can be proactive in ensuring I've covered my basis in terms of riding as safe as I can out there...
I just bought one (a 08 Dyna Custom). My thoughts have definitely gone 180 degrees on them over the last 10 years. When I started I thought they were stupid and made no sense. Why would anyone ride a harley over my r6?? a number of things have led to my change of heart.
1) Back in 05 I did...
