The year of music for me (so far)

On reflection, I have done such a huge amount of music and done so much playing out this year - and I plan to do more as I work on retirement, in two groups and working with a recording artist. It's been awesome. I know it's not winter yet but today's gig (and tomorrow's gig!) just hit home...

    How`s your house pricing doing?..

Seeing as how Carney has just put Evan Siddall - you know, the guy who said that people shouldn't be able to own homes and that the equity wealth of homes should be taxed to "improve" intergenerational inequality, that guy - into the position as director of "Build Canada Homes<tm>", it's very...

The new lawn tractors are junk.

I have a zero-turn Toro that has held up really well for 8 seasons. Was in the ballpark of $5K in 2019.

    Scotch anyone?

My best friend took his family to Scotland where he mostly stayed with friends. Two young boys, a teenaged girl and his wife meant a whole lot of walking and that sort of thing. More importantly, he brought me back this: Yes it's been opened, my first order of business was to have both of us...

Dealer proximity and bike choice...thoughts or experiences.

Some Yamaha bikes you will have to. And some Suzukis. The R1 with full traction control and all kinds of other digital features is 11 years old this year. Time moves on.

Dealer proximity and bike choice...thoughts or experiences.

It's a long drive to GP Bikes, so I've done what maintenance I can here. Some things I can't ... right now I have a SERVICE code on my KTM and no idea what it is, because it should be longer for an oil change to be due... BUT these things are computer-controlled now and I was working that motor...

    Frank Mrazek

That's for sure. I remember him about 10 years ago trying to sneak by the race officials with both footpegs held on by zip ties (loosely) and then storming through the pits all mad because they caught him ... haha

What did you do in your garage today..?

Having 3,000 watts of power with the speakers 6' or so off the floor means that playing some practice bass through this system is crystal clear and lets me get enough volume (but not outrageous, the board is set to roughly -40db with 50db of volume to go). I brought down a 4x10 cab and the big...

    Not worth the risk

Yep. They do things like stop, right in the middle of the road, on the other side of a blind curve to look at the scenery etc. It's happened to me in Ontario at least a couple of times.

    Not worth the risk

I find that holiday weekends are often dangerous and tourists are untrustworthy.
