Parking near RBC WaterPark Place, Toronto

It's pretty late in the season, but I noticed a few bikes still parked at the underpass behind Harbour 60. But this morning, there were 3 or 4 cars parked there, along with a cherry-picker. I'm hoping those are just construction workers involved with the Gardiner revitilization parking their...

Parking near RBC WaterPark Place, Toronto

Freeland St and Cooper St used to have No Parking Between 7PM - 7AM, Except by Permit (5G). This meant 7AM-7PM was on-street GreenP parking. Now they've taped over the "7PM - 7AM" portion, and the GreenP machines (#4135 & #4136) are also gone. (Therefore NO PARKING Except by 5G Permit.) The...

    20 Bay/ 88 Queens Quay Parking Notice

Where is everybody parking now? I did a "reconnaissance" ride yesterday and saw Freeland St and Cooper St as possible alternatives, but both streets now are strictly Permit Parking (5G). They used to allow non permit parking from 7am-7pm. Permits for bikes are free. I wonder if I could get a...

    Shipping from Italy

I've been asking around and my dad mentioned "ViaMar Scilla Transport International Inc." (viamar.ca) based in Toronto. They shipped a Vespa for him from Italy back in the day. I'll post an update when I get a response from them. The main difference being that he was in Italy to arrange the...

    Shipping from Italy

That's a scary thought. My dad has 2 vintage Vespas with non-conforming VINs, and a friend of mine has an Alfa Romeo from the 70s with a VERY short VIN. I'd hate for the insurance policy renewals to be denied.

    Shipping from Italy

I know how stupid/risky it is to buy a vehicle from another continent sight-unseen, but I'm weighing a lot of options. Suppose I find an offer I can't refuse for a 1996 Aprilia RS250 in Italy. What would be the best company or service to use for intercontinenal shipping of such a bike? Please...

    WTB: Aprilia RS250

Needs to be licensed in Canada as fit for road use. 1998-2002 preferred, 1995-1997 acceptable I'm looking for one that doesn't have an aftermarket "road kit" installed. It's a long shot, but worth a try. Please send me offers or any ads you see elsewhere via PM.

Importing a Motor Vehicle To Canada (the be all end all)

If I've learned anything when dealing with both US and Canada Border Services, find out for yourself and confirm everything before proceeding. Not all offices are equipped the same. Never assume things are the same at all border crossings. I blame many of my grey hairs on the legwork I had...
