I have been to quite a few tracks so far with my bike and my car and I would have to say Barber is my favorite so far. Just the bike museum alone is worth the trip. It is a world class facility built to F-1 standards. Most of the guys in our group are going to stick around after the track days...
Hi guys. There is a group of guys from the KW area heading to Barber for April 16th and 17th. If any of you guys are going to be down there those days you are welcome to come on over to our trailer for a beer after the track closes. We did two days at Barber last spring and it was a blast.
It depends a lot on the instructor that you happen to get. I did my first track day after a 25yr lay off with pro 6 at Calabogie and my instructor was very good. My next track day was at Graten and their novice program was excellent. I think most of the groups are running a pretty good program...
I just listened to the pit pass link with Kevin Schwantz. He said the same thing I did in an earlier post. Rossi left MM enough room on the outside to avoid a crash.
Ok, if you look back on this thread I stated that although I am a VR fan I did not believe MM was out of line at Philip Island and even after everything that has transpired since then I still stand by what I said. That being said, I think VR was screwed in this last race. The first point is the...
I was surprised to hear Rossi say this. I am a Rossi fan but I do not believe MM intentionally did that. If you remember the race when it went to the last lap between Rossi and MM Rossi had a 1 second lead on MM at the start of the last lap yet MM was able to close the gap on the last lap. Was...
As a long time snowmobiler it has always amazed me at the crude efforts made by the top motorcycle race teams at anti fog face shields. BTW HJC has one of the best electric face shields on the market for sleds. I do not think that it would be too hard to adapt to the bike helmet.
I have just started doing track days after a 25yr break last summer. So far I have done Calibogie long track and the stadium track. Grattan and Barber. I also did two track days at Shanonville about 25 years ago. I would have to say I enjoyed all of them but Shanonville as it was 25yrs ago was...
That crash was very disappointing to see. I hope Casey makes a speedy and full recovery. Probably will not help our chances of getting to see him race again any time soon.
I did two track days at Shannonville in 1989 and 1990 on a 1980 Suzuki GS1100. Then I took a 24 year break. In 2014 I bought a 2002 Honda 954 and did a two day event at Calabogie "Novice" then a two day event at Grattan "Intermediate" and this spring I did a two day event at Barber "Advanced"...
