Give me speed cameras over speed bumps any day, all day. Cameras are annoying when people always seem to think they trigger at 40, so they go 30. But at least it's not, speed up, slow almost to a stop, speed up, slow almost to a stop, speed up......on and on and on.

That one got me. I was charged, but the crown withdrew them (after a small donation to Salvation Army). When I explain this to the border guard, he had no clue what I was talking about.

This is why it'd be much better to be focusing on cars running reds, running stop signs, driving erratically, speeding through residential streets, etc... Bicycles may disobey signs, but when they do, they loose big time. When a car does it, the consequences for everyone else is much much higher.

There is currently a major storage problem. But I'd rather see more done to prevent needing that storage in the first place.

I got one done at TSR in Georgetown recently. It's a fairly new bike with low km's, so there were no issues. But unlike in the past where you could just show up and get one done, you now have to make an appointment. It took about an hour and cost $158.

If this is a street bike, run away. What is so special about this particular bike? If this is an offroad bike, then I could see this as legit. This same thing happened to me with one of my kids dirt bikes. The dealer never registered it in Canada, and since it was a dirt bike, nobody had...

I've had success using a chisel and hammer before. I put the chisel at a very slight angle towards loosening and tap it with a hammer. It may take a little bit, but slowly it will eventually loosen it.

Ha, my partner and I are the opposite. I used Waze exclusively, but then it literally sent us in a circle while in Cambridge one time. After that incident, my partner always shat on it. So we compromised with Google, even though it's the same data.

Sorry. I typed quick and forgot to add the obvious part where you can finance it, then pay it off the second you can. Hopefully the next day so the stealership gets nothing, but even if it's a few months later it's better.

Wealthsimple has been great for me the past few years. They have a cash account now for daily purchases, and it pays percentage in interest monthly. Unless you truly need to go into a bank for a human, I believe Wealthsimple combined with Simplii (or another free chequing account) is the best...

Paying with cash is definitely better? People think that's crazy to do, but then have no issue paying all that interest. Buy a cheap car and CAA for 5 years while saving a car payment every month in an interest making investment. After 5 years, go buy a new car with all that cash you now have.

There's a huge difference between killing something humanely, and just causing pain and torment for entertainment.
