What if we have to move up into the pedestrian crossing box to see the traffic? I don't see myself do that during the test.

At a red light making a right turn - I am stopped behind the white lines. I wait for 3 seconds. Am I expected to inch up to see the traffic coming from my left? How far am I expected to move up?

Don't bother with the course. If you have the time then take the motorcycle mechanics course at Humber or Centennial. That will be more useful.
