I've had some quality control issues with a Bell helmet I ordered from GP 2 years ago. Not to the extent of your splotches but there were some finishing issues. GP was great and exchanged it for me without any hassles.

I've used ABS cement before; used some cloth medical tape and lathered some more on in the inside. Touch up painted the front and no one noticed that it was ever broken. Never tried to re-break it myself, but I'm pretty sure if I tried, it would've broken in new places and not where I re-pieced...

I installed the evotech rad guards earlier in the summer. I haven't noticed my bike running hotter, but that's just by feel. The guards are great quality and look pretty slick as well
