What did you do in your garage today..?

Replace it with a cap-head torx drive. It may not be the best looking but it will be the easiest to remove. And always use anti-seize grease on stainless if you have to use stainless.

    Toronto to New York City

I found Lake Placid to have a lot of traffic for the 2 lane roads. My favorite roads up there go through the watershed and loop around as many reservoirs as I can find: Cannonsville Pepacton, Ashokan, Rondout, Neversink. Some have heavy law enforcement.

    Porch Pirates

Who says YOU go to jail? Assert that you're a career criminal or have a mental disability that compels you to steal; then you are entirely the victim. If you get injured and can't continue to steal, sue the bomb maker. End up on disability. Canadian law is basically "thank you sir, may I...

What did you do in your garage today..?

"Unistrut" and its accessories are awesome. When I found out they made track rollers and have 10' length section of CURVES both horizontal and VERTICAL I started designing the backyard rollercoaster.

    Chain slack or Chain tension

Belts run under tension. Chains require slack. If the chain is tight at any point in the suspension travel, then it is not slack enough. Tension shouldn't even be in the chain vocabulary. Unless you a have a fancy offroad bike that has the drive sprocket on the same axle as the swingarm, the...

Broke bolt extractor - what to do?

You can get a pitch gauge on there and see if there is any stretch at all... but I don't think you'll find any. I think the root cause of this was not backing the bolts off alternately little-by-little on each side - never letting one side completely unload. I think the unyielding grip in the...

Did some work on my bike and no start now …

None of your tests are accurate. None of your terminology is accurate. I could tell you a whole bunch of tests to perform but nothing would be reliable, things would be done out of order, and it would be reported back as somethibg later to be "I meant this when I said that." I've seen how...
