That's kinda shocking your '07 R6 was out of adjustment so early. Correct me if I'm wrong... but I thought this model calls for 26,000 (mile) valve service intervals?! I'm not a Yamaha fan... but I was seriously considering one for my next bike because of lengthened valve service intervals.
29900K is over twice the recommended interval... but I'm glad to hear no damage was done. I suspect (but don't know) that the first valve adjustment is the most critical due to break-in/seating etc... I'm hoping this is the case... because I don't see myself getting this done every 12000k...
I was charged 8.5hr... this included carb sync... clean/gap plugs... oil & filter... I asked for the coolant to be changed... somehow they forgot that. They also forgot to call me when the bike was ready. Still having a hard time with the bill! (hence me not making that known yet!) Whats the...
Just had this done on a '08 ZZR600. All valves were way out... shop had a shim trade program, so I didn't pay for that. Anyway... cam's had to be removed etc... glad I didn't tackle this myself. Just wondering what is a fair price for this job? Kinda wondering if I got hosed.
This particular...
About 4600k since the snow left... pretty pathetic compared to previous seasons. This is my 3rd year riding... seems to get consistently less each year... the fact I have a girlfriend this year probably plays a big role in that too.

Another tire to consider is the Dunlop Roadsmart. It's a duel compound tire... gets great reviews, and can be had for substantially less than the PR 2's.
I got mine @ Zdeno cycle in Kitchener... $65 to instal both front & rear with rims on the bike... it's a great tire too.
You best get yourself a good motorcycle jacket with removable layers. I ALWAYS wear it... it's comfortable from early spring till late fall.
Plus... it's an added 'perk' that you get to keep your skin if you fall.
'09 Suzuki GSX650F. 19L Tank = 340 km before I really start to worry about running out of fuel. I recently switched to a K&N air filter ant that number seems to have dropped slightly, it's disappointing, & I can't figure out why.
I almost hit one last year at night. I was approaching the crest of a hill & a car started flashing me like crazy, I slowed right down... low & behold, a dear darted right in front of me! If it weren't for that driver, I may not be here right now. Deer = scary S**T!
Congrats... I have the same bike... 17000K later, I still love it.
1st service is 1000K... after that, oil changes every 6000K. The manual says to replace the filter every other oil change, I change it every time, it doesn't cost much.
(Use 10W-40 motorcycle specific oil! I use Mobil 1...
I'm in a bit of a rush... my car is down & as luck would have it, my battery in my bike is dead. The charger I bought says use 6A for large batteries & 2A for small... will I damage my motorcycle battery using 6A (as long as I don't overcharge it)
Thanks
