Road tested Overlord Prime jacket and gloves lol. Zero road rash, did fracture my arm and crack a few ribs. The way I landed my shoulder took the first impact with no damage to me but all my weight and momentum transfered to my elbow forearm area when I rolled which jammed my elbow into my...
I have the Overlord Prime Leather jacket and I did have the full Overlord gloves. Loved both of them.
If I was going to buy a new leather jacket today it would be the Hypersport hands down.
1,2 and 5 - Lots of info in the New Rider Section. Start reading ;)
3 - I wave to almost everyone when it is safe. If I can't take my hand off the bar I give a nod.
4 - People are gonna get ****** with you on a bike or a cage for no reason. Just keep away from them, even pull off somewhere...
Some people will say buy used and other will say buy new. I was apprehensive about getting a used bike as my first bike so I got a new one. Yes I got rid of it after 3 months of riding and lost some $$$ but this isn't a cheap hobby. So if you are worried about a used bike and can afford a...
Course did nothing for me for insurance, most don't use it anymore it seems for motos.
As for insurance, for me at that age it would not be worth it for a bigger bike. For a 600 if you can even get it you would be looking at $8,000 or more (which is extremely likely).
Go to the insurance...
1) Welcome
2) Call insurance. The Ninja 250 is a great bike, for someone as young as you it will be costly. Once you swallow that ugly pill ask them for the price for a 600cc SS and prepare yourself.
3) I know at RTI you need a parental waiver signed if you are under 18 to take the course...
I still have to do my M test and live in Guelph. Gonna be hard to only do 70 on the Hanlon, I could do the whole test in first. A lot of people come from out of town to do their M test and definitely the G one done here.
I'm 5'9 and anywhere from 140 to 155lbs. My Icon jacket fits great and all my gear fits right, just make sure you try on different sizes. Lots of stuff available for guys our size. I can fit into a medium jacket and and i feels more comfortable but the armour is off a little so I went down...
The rider got what he deserved, he was being a dumbass regardless of who is "legally" responsible. My life is worth more than trying to prove a point on camera.
This reminds of a Vlogger from Alberta who does this exact thing. The traffic opposite him get the advanced turn signal and like we...
I've blacked out my windscreen on both bikes I have had. I used PlastiDip on the underside but I find my windscreen now just as useful as it was before. Doesn't decrease my field of vision what so ever since I am never that deep in the tuck to require it. 100% for the looks... and it looks good.
The app has potential but with it's past issues and continued stability issues for some phones I doubt a lot of people will use it.
Had a couple of meet-ups/rides last year by meeting people from the app.
Last year when the app became "popular" it was extremely unstable, more useless than anything else. So far in the last few months it seems to be stable but I believe most people lost faith with how bad this app was last year.
Re: Spinal protection/injuries
Agreed, should you where gear...... Yes. Do you have to..... No. Anyone can argue the percentages, but when you go down personally I want as much gear as possible. OP and Mark2k, if you want to test what it feels like without gear.... go to driveway with...
