Did hear about the fires and did some research on it. The first models GS made in 2005/6/7 did not have enough insulation between the tank and engine / exhaust, could heat up and pressurize the fuel system and catch on fire when riden hard and in hot weather. None of the newer/later models...

Omnivore, What you are saying is, I believe its bad until I need it. I have a friend that used to work in Vancouver for a software firm, hated MS/Gates Inc, did not like Italian sports cars. M$ bought his company, he became a Multi-Millionaire and now drives a Ferrari. Its all in the timing.

I have an almost fully loaded RT, and during break in I am getting 9l per 100km. thats just over 31mpg. Not complaining, It's 400kg. I get about 40mpg on the KLR, whats just over 200 kg, I do tend to keep the right side active :-)

A loose helmet in a fall, will keep your skull from splitting open. A proper fitting helmet, will keep your brains from being scrambled, may get a minor concussion, but the foam will play buffer and decelerometer. I have tested one helmet to its fullest, it works, still alive, all medical staff...

Mine on the KLR is an older one, T2000 or something like that, only hooked to battery no engine immobilizer, and it still drains the battery quickly. I have a Scorpio i800 for my Can-Am.

Check your Manual. You need to push the remotes within a limited time after power up to introduce them to the Alarm system. Mine has a 60 sec window. Power it up push buttons within 60seconds or they don't communicate.

No Eco-tax was charged on my charger.

I bought one today. Went into the store to see if it was better then the one I have and it is, this one can also provide a normal charge, not just trickle.
