Damn double post. May as well share one of my scary moments on the bike.
Slipped on some gravel on a corner while looking at people partyin in front of their house. Ditch was a good 6 foot drop so that got me pretty scared.
They leaked like a sealed pressure cooker. He got a smokin deal. Just found it odd for him to call up a week or so later and cry over a scratch that probably occurred when he moved it around in his garage.
I gotta get used to this style of bike, so it would be ideal to be with people who know what they are doing and have the decency to wait if I'm too slow.
Is this thread good for people who have been riding for about 7 years, but rarely ride these days and just wants to take it easy? I'm not an old fart but I ride like one.
Reminds me of when I had someone talk me down to less than half the price of a set of forks, bought it and liked it, then called me a week later bitching about a scratch on the forks and telling me I'm a ****** seller.
Forks is nice for a leisurely jaunt. There's a nice 16 km twisty road up by Shelburne for those interested. It's called River Road and it starts in Hornings Mills.
Enjoy :)
