if you are riding rural roads, be careful of loose gravel around corners, very difficult to see at night. I work until midnight and have gotten caught in a skid a few times due to gravel around the corners. Also hit a Racoon a few weeks ago.

thanks, for the replies, I was looking a lot at the rolling chassis, as they seem to be between 5 and 6K, which would eliminate a whole lot work making sure the parts work together. But, maybe i'm just dreaming a little to much, maybe i'l stick with my Ducati for an extra year or so and save...

Anybody here build a chopper from a Rolling Chassis by companies the likes of Ultima, Rolling Thunder, Maximum MetalWorks, or Motorcycle Enhancements? Whats the process like, registering, insurance, pricing( looking to do it for less then 12K total) parts sourcing....

sell the SS and buy a naked i'm 25 with m2 and 2 tickets and am paying about 95$ a month on my Ducati Monster 1100. cheapest quote on an SS that i got was the F4i and it was about 360$ a month and had to be bundled.

No denying the FZ has insane power, i just find that the way the Ducati delivers the power to be more entertaining, although i might be a little bias since i have a Monster 1100.

I find the Ducati to be a more enjoyable ride, they are however terribly expensive to maintain, brutal (in a good way) power delivery and are horrendous on fuel. The Fz-09 is a great bike, will be more reliable, IMO less comfortable (I have a strange build) and probably a better daily ride. Also...
