Background:
2007 250cc carbbed ZZR250. We purchased it new in April 08 when they were clearing them out for cheap after they launched the 08 Ninjas. We didn't know it, but when we brought it home for my wife she was already preggers.
Between us, we put just under 6000 kms on it (I'd drive it...
Every time I dump a bike I need to force myself back on. Its usually dirt bikes, and I jump right back on or I wouldn't get on again ever. If I took a 5 or 10 year break like this guy did after a serious fall, I doubt I would ride again either.
If you have any Ryobi tools, Home Depot is clearing out their little One+ compressors that fill up bike tires and air mattresses. I bought 2 I loved the first so much. $30, but comes with no battery and charger.
My ZX6 with a Hindle aftermarket backfires almost every time I start it. Of course, I use the kill switch on the way into the garage at night to avoid waking up my kids.
And that YouTube video could be the lamest thing I ever saw. I would have stuck a broom handle in his front tire if I was...
I would think hitting the back of a car at 150 km/hr (or driving 250 and hitting a car going 100, same diff) would look a little like this picture.
The fact is that hitting a car with a car would be very different than with a bike. The bike would centre all the force into a small space (like a...
An acquaintance of mine from high school did something very much like this in 1992ish. He was doing 150-180 km/hr on a SS on town streets over a blind hill and hit the back door of a turning, almost stationary Honda Accord. He spun the car around 3 or 4 times according to witnesses, and his...
I'll be happy to help out my kids with their cars as my parents did for me. I'll also do the same for a bike my parents did which was make me stand on my own. This has the added benefit of them having to be older to afford it, and hopefully wiser.
Canned beer (with very few exceptions) is also cheaper per litre than any other way (after returns are calculated). Kegs are the worst with no exceptions.
First off, yes this is super dangerous and blah blah blah but its also interesting (sitting here at my desk vs being passed by him)

Second, they found him.

I had a similar experience. I had been wanting and asking for a bike since I was 12 or 13 (grew up rural) and we had sleds. My Dad bought a 4 wheeler to shut me up, but then my neighbour 2 doors down got some dirt bikes so I would ride the 4 wheeler over to his house and ride the dirt bikes...
I used to have an HJC but dumped it as I found, more than anything, that air flow was greatly constricted due to the large piece of plastic in the helmet. It was more of a novelty than something I actually used. I have sensitive eyes, and found that I needed sunglasses when I got off the bike...
