Clean the pistons with an old tooth brush and soap and water, take off your reservoir cap, wrap the base in a towel to protect your paint in case it over flows before pushing in the pistons. Doing both will make pushing the pistons in easier.
Ride a snowmobile for many years and riding with your visor flipped up at -10c for a while and being comfortable makes riding a motorcycle with a 1/2 helmet and no visor in the single digits is no big deal.
But I'd agree, rain isn't terribly comfortable hitting your face, nor are large bees...
That was the biggest reason for getting rid of the one I had. The attention was fine to a point, but got to be quite annoying. Too many crowds around the Spyder at just about any stop, not to forget the numerous times people even asking a bunch of questions while at red lights.
Oh and really...
I've got one of these on my bike as well. Perfect for keeping my iPhone charged, especially since the GPS sucks the battery dry in no time. I installed another on a friends bike and she loved it as well.
That's because most of those people (but not all of them) driving those cars are d o u c h b a g s and think they're above everyone else and the rules of the road don't apply to them because they've got $60k+ cars.
