Joe Rocket Visor Delema - back order mayhem and solution

I bought a Joe Rocket -13 helmet at the bike show but it has a clear visor and sun glasses are getting squished in them so I went to the store for a tinted visor. So starts the journey. GP Bikes, Fortnine, Bike Bandit, Royal Distributing and on and on, all sold out and on back order. The hunt...

Just got my M1: gear advice please

Great! You're going to love it! ATGATT is the best way. My wife took a dive last month because of a poor road construction hazard that they are paying out. She's been riding 10 years and is all safety. ATGATT saved her big time. Helmets - DOT and SNELL logos, make sure they have them. That's...

bike fell over, now acting funny (carbureted)

I suspected the bowls got tipped and the fuel passages were plugged. I've seen poor carb cleans before and unless they are ultrasonic cleaned, you may not get them back to stock. The mixture adjust would help if it solved the issue baring another teardown and clean. If it doesn't work, easy to...

bike fell over, now acting funny (carbureted)

A high idle and slow recover can be a lean condition. You could try and adjust the idle mixture screws a 1/2 to a full turn out and see if it helps.

    valve clearance adjustment

It can be easy (1 or 2 cylinder) or hard (R6). Some are adjusted with a screw and locknut, others shim under bucket that requires removing the cam shafts, not for the faint of heart. You will need a shim kit that will run you about $80 - $100 unless you can get the exact sizes at the time you do...

zx6r elelctrcal problem (dash on the fritz)

I would start at the battery. I had one fail, similar signs, everything was a little off but when the start button was hit, nothing, this was after riding to a store, going inside and coming out dead. It had 12 volts but no current. The battery was 3 years old and was going to change it. You can...

Another Rate Increase ........ Stupid SF

My Harley insurance was cut 1/3 and my wife who switched from a Harley to an SFV650 dropped 50% with SF. Good thing I dropped the R6....

Anyone have experience adding a reverse gear to a bike engine?

I wish they all came with a reverse... I found this: http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/bike-with-sidecar-and-reverse-gear-ideas.305528/ Guy uses a winch, friction wheel and a foot pedal to apply it. Great idea! You could get a used ATV winch off Kijji and some Princes Auto parts to mash...

    Foam for LARP weapons source?

Home depot and Lowes sells various types of foam for insulation but is not too strong to wield. good for shields and armor etc. Pool noodles are good for lances and swords just need to be cut to shape. Instrucables has a wire foam cutting project I was looking at as well. Adam from Myth Busters...

    '15 1200GSA won't start

If your bike is turning over it shouldn't be a battery issue. My next course of action would be to replace the gas. When you put the stabilizer in it did you run the bike to make sure it got to the injectors? A good fuel test is to give it a shot of Quickstart. If it fires up, you know its a...

    Movable Wheel Chock Ideas?

Princess Auto also sells EZ-Track. I'm using it for my trailer the same way. It is a mounting system that is movable and you can add tie down points and or remove hardware altogether. Best of all it's inexpensive. Have a look at it.

    Dead battery issue

Sealed motorcycle batteries never need a fillup. They are AGM types, have a glass mat between the cells and the fluid is held in suspension. The clear ones with the sight lines need top up from time to time with distilled water. 3 - 5 years is what I usually get for my batteries before they...

    Sparking Negative post!!!

Follow the cables, the ground will likely find its way to the chassis pretty quick. the positive cable will head to the fuse block. The green wire is an added on piece, someone added something to the bike at some point, usually you add accessories to the positive side of the battery. Its not...
