Valves haven't been checked out on the bike, maintenance history just done fluid changes and sprocket change. He also said might need brakes rotors and pads

Thanks for all the input it's a real eye opener. Most bikes I'm seeing 2003+ everybody asking $4500+, really seems like they're just trying to get the most coin not what the bike is valued. Anyone know if anyone selling an R6 at a fair price?

Just curious on how much more than market price for a bike would you guys pay if a bike had upgrades like: adjustable ohlins damper, adjustable pazzo levers, rizzoma grips and bar ends and powder coated wheels

Thanks for all the input, will try to bring someone along when going to check out the bike and go through everything thoroughly. AF4iK & ViperZ thanks for the heads up will do a read up on how to notice the problem and also how to replace the tensioner just in case.

That's sounds like you've had some good Honda experiences with their reliability, thanks for sharing that info. Was originally going for $5000 then dropped to $4500 now, but I would definitely not spend that kind of cash on it. I'd be looking to get it around the $3500 price range.
