Nice ride this morning, sunny but crisp. In the Oakville area, traffic much worse than usual on the QEW, for some unidentified reason. Looking forward to the return trip, much warmer by now.

+1 on the Michelin PR4s. On my Blackbird, they last 14-15,000 kms. Excellent performance in varied conditions.

132,000 km on my 2002 Blackbird. Motul 7100 and Purolator One filters, changed every 6-7000 kms. Burns/loses zero oil. But as others pointed out, different engines have different standards for what is "normal" oil consumption.

+1 to all of the above. There is also 554 just south of Williamsport, connecting with 44. It is an up the mountain and down the other side series of twisties. It is so much of a blast that we often did it back and forth a few times.

I keep the whole wiring harness, attached to battery, coiled under the seat. I just pull out the desired length when using the GPS.

Back to OP's original question. With armoured hoodies or flannel shirts, having the armour is a plus, but I would be concerned with: a) as others have mentioned, the ability of the garment to keep the armour in the right place, and; b) thinking this through, if the armour is kept in the right...
