Thinking of buying a LARGE car....

You should test drive the Pacifica and the Grand Caravan. They're both based on the same platform. But the differences in the small things adds up to a notable difference. You're paying for a much better driving experience in the Pacifica.

    Kitchen appliances

Restore might take the kitchen cabinets from you too. But they are slow. Like the others said, Kijiji is the quickest option. You'll have to sort out the scrap metal guys vs the guys who will use it.

    Kitchen appliances

I did that before committing to induction. Had my gas range. Got an Iwatani induction portable cooker. The portable was a little weak but worked fine otherwise. 1.5 or 1.8Kw compared to my range's max of 3.3Kw. Good enough experience to go induction. The side gas burner was a "nice to have"...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

What about engine block heaters? We have 120volt receptacles at the base of our parking lot light poles. Those are used for heaters during the winter. Will the "no plug in" spill over to other applications like this?

    Kitchen appliances

I switched from gas to induction last year. It seems to heat at little faster than the gas. Kitchen is definitely cooler b/c there is no spillover heat. Old pans were all good. But most of the old pots didn't work with induction. Biggest adjustment I had to make was dealing with the glass...

Getting passed by another motorcycle in my lane

So you won't mind staying in your 2 feet while I squeeze by in my mini van. It's only 80" wide. There's a couple of inches to spare even in a small 9' wide lane.

    what to do after accident?

How does a settlement work? They give you a lump sum $, then you have no more claims with the insurance co.? You then take the $ and pay for any medical, etc expenses yourself? I only received cheques for the bike and gear, plus the loss work time. They've been paying for the treatment directly...

    Purchasing out of the city

I bought used from Ottawa. Spent about 2 weeks emailing and lots of pictures. Got the seller to take the bike to the OEM shop to get the safety before I went out there. I borrowed a pickup truck for the trip. Was worried about the long ride on a strange bike. We went to his bank to deposit the...

    what to do after accident?

I had a major injury claim and did not use a lawyer and the experience with the insurance adjuster has been very pleasant. The bike settlement was handled by a separate department from the injury claim. You don't have to take the first offer they give for the bike and gear. Just do a bit of...

    what to do after accident?

I think you are referring to a work place injury that would fall under WSIB. Most hospitals have notices posted all over the place regarding this. And they ask when you first register.
