Need suggestion for ON/QC Destination for a 4-6 day basecamp with day rides.

I did the 307 a couple years ago, it was really twisty. The 366 has a gravel section but nothing you can't handle.

If you haven't been yet, you could ride around in the area south of Sherbrooke Qc, I thought it was really nice. Maybe a loop out to Lac Megantic and back.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I always thought they got a bad rap. Their cars aren't bad except for the CVTs and even those are ok if you change the fluid on them regularly.

    1 week trip ideas

I thought the area around Sherbrooke Qc had a lot of nice riding. Not crazy twisty but still fun and scenic. Not sure if it'll fit into your plans but a loop out to Lac Megantic and back might be enjoyable.

Why are cruisers so darn cheap?

Aren't cruisers still the way to go if you want to take your wife along?

Electronic parking brakes are stupid. It's not hard to pull a handle.

    Tranny problem recommendations.

Nope you must be confusing me with somebody else, definitely don't take my advice too strongly as I am far from an expert!

    Tranny problem recommendations.

Sounds like your best options are 1) Sell or trade it in now while it still runs ok 2) Keep driving it till it dies then get a rebuilt transmission When I used to own an Acura TL I would suck out the trans fluid with a fluid extractor pump (you can find them on amazon for < $100), then just...

    Thunder Bay In September Ride

Watch your speed, I got a speeding ticket on hwy 11 somewhere around geraldton a few years ago. I'd probably just stick to hwy 17. Hwy 11 is scenic for the first 100 kms north of nipigon. After that is it very long, straight and boring until Timmins.

Ride Report - 2026 Scenic Butt

Looks like it was a great ride, thanks for sharing. Have you ever been on the 533? I rode it only once, and I thought it was one of the better roads in ontario for technical riding. Not very scenic but a lot of good twists and very few side streets/driveways. Too bad it's so far away.

DIY on a tesla isn't an issue. Other than the electric motor and battery, everything else (brakes, suspension, etc) is the same as any gas car. I got over 80k on my tesla now, and it's never needed any repairs or maintenance. The only things I do on it are rotate the tires (when I switch between...

    Tool Deals Thread

Don't you still need to break the bolt loose with a manual ratchet, then switch to this? It would probably be easier to just stay with the ratchet.

    Basecamp

My method is, I use onthegomap.com to create a route and export it as a gpx. Then I use the Smartphone Link app to copy it from my phone to the Garmin over bluetooth. Then the Garmin converts it to its own format. Don't need anything other than a smartphone with a browser and the Garmin. When...

    Why, why, why,

Didn't like them, all the bikes I tried with them (harleys) would cancel when I didn't want it to. I prefer having full control over it. I think if someone is always forgetting to turn it off, that's a them problem and they need to get their act together instead of expecting technology to solve...
