    Canada Post - Huge losses

I haven't had mail delivered to my super box in over a week. My father, who lives 5 streets away has been getting his mail delivered to his super box ever day. There is a bit more snow around my super box and it is a 25 foot walk from the nearest driveway to even get to it. Could that be the...

    Full Body MRI Scans

My step-brother had a full body MRI done in Seattle two years ago, as a preventative measure. I think it cost a few thousand US. Found a tumor on his liver. They went in 3 weeks later and took it out (the tumor, not the liver). All good and a clean bill of health. He lives in Seattle.

    Local Auto Thefts

Just had Tag Trackers added to my F150. Cost was $335. Insurance would jump by $500 per year without them. So it was a no brainer. I think 4 or 5 were hidden somewhere in the truck. I have no idea where and they wouldn't tell me. Speedy Glass in Richmond Hill did the work. Clean, fast...

What I didn't tell you was that we recycled another old lathe that had been in pieces for 25 years in the garage. 3000 lbs. Got $200 from the recycler. I figure my father has another couple thousand pounds of steel lying around the house.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

There are no bad decisions. Everything has a use at some point down the road - that should be my fathers motto. I would take some of this stuff, but I don't have the room to store it.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Not sure if this is the right spot to put this or not. I've got a basement full of tools and machines from a retired mechanic / machinist (my father). Lathe (12 or so feet long), Craftex Milling machine, drill presses, Arbor Presses, English wheel, band saw, Arc Welder, etc, etc...

    Middle weight bikes

FJ09 / Tracer. I've had mine since Sept 2015. Love the bike - does everything I want and I've never had an issue (46000 kms so far). There has been some talk by others about the suspension, but I don't push it hard enough to notice any issues. Consistently get above 300 kms per tank (17...

    Boat Rentals

I've been boating for over 45 years. Have personally owned my own boats since 1996. There is an old saying that the happiest 2 days of owning a boat are the day you buy it and the day you sell it. Things to be aware off - fiberglass boats look great, but can show there age (fading of...
