In my area (Vaughan), purchased plots cannot be resold. They can be returned (and I believe you get your costs back), but not sold.

We have had a Havenese for almost 9 years. 12 - 14 lbs. No issues what so ever. Hair cuts every 3 - 4 months. 1 or 2 walks per day, usually 20 - 30 minutes each. Non shedding.

I've got a car mechanic in Aurora who I've known and used for 30 years. I know it may be a bit of a drive for some of you, but he is a 5 minute walk to the Aurora Go Train and I often drop off my car in the morning, catch the train downtown and return at the end of the day. Easy peasy. Honest...

I went for the first time this year. A group of buddies rent a house for the weekend. Arrived Thursday afternoon, hit the strip that evening. I'm 58 and I was by far one of the youngest there on Thursday night. I got the sense that a lot of people were meeting up with their friends, etc...

I would look at all other options before settling on a reverse mortgage. HELOC is a much better way to go. You keep control.

Another option is Montebello, just outside of Ottawa on the Quebec side. Fabulous hotel.
