    Zip your bags up.

I use tiny carabiners to lock the zipper pulls together for my backpacks/tankbags. Shiny red so they stand out against the black/grey bags, visual reminder to secure them.

    Does anybody work in toronto?

401 eastbound & come south on DVP? Or Don Mills has MC/HOV Lane. Either way, once you get into East York, it's gonna suck.

    Significant Gravel: Eglinton & Brentcliffe

On Eglinton Ave E Westbound approaching Brentcliffe Rd. Saw large pile of gravel in the middle of the road on the uphill section & significant amounts between lanes over the blind crest. Tire tracks *seemed* safe, but I didn't get a good enough look since I was in the left turn lane. This...

    Suzuki C50 B.O.S.S, Honda 750 Phantom versus Kawasaki V900

Tough choice, all three are remarkably similar in specs & looks. I've been on the Phantom since 2012 and I love it. I think it comes down to price & ergonomics. Go to the dealers & sit on them. Try a test ride if possible. That's the only way to be certain. The market is full of blacked-out...

    Motorbike wash

I sometimes use the one on O'Connor, just 2 minutes west of Victoria Park. Not usually crowded. $2/2 minutes IIRC. Personally, I don't use their soap. I take a little Simply Green with me if I need soap. I was actually planning on going tomorrow around noon.

    E bike

Last weekend I saw an ebiker who left me speechless. Rode the wrong way up a one-way side-street & then jaywalked across a divided section of Eglinton E. Lifted the scoot over the median, then jaywalked/rode across to the other side. smh.

    I Saw You: V.2.0

Always exciting to see another Phantom. Saw you Southbound on Don Mills Sunday 4/27 around 630-7pm.

    Jacket Modification

I'm too lazy to sew, so I started using fabric glue for small mending jobs like this. I just checked my bottle, it's "Aleene's Fabric Fusion". Bought it from a hobby store at Spadina/Adelaide couple years ago.

    Honda Service

I bought my phantom from Markham Outdoor Power & had first service there. After that I've had a hard time getting a straight answer out of their staff for any question. I was basically told to leave my bike & they'll call me in a week to tell me when they are going to work on it. The service...

    I Saw You: V.2.0

Red Triumph near Queen/Spadina this afternoon. Sorry I made you rush out of your spot before you warmed up, but I'd already circled the block & there were no other spots & I was running late. Thanks for the spot. PM if you're in the area later, coffee on me!

    Cold pavement

Be wary of puddles & metal grates/tracks. Expect sand/salt/grit in the corners. Don't expect your tires to grip well. At 0c your hands WILL freeze even with leather+fleece+thermal glove liners, so stay off the expressways for long periods. Most importantly, if you are second-guessing your...

Rider down at Brentcliffe and Eglinton

GWS Rider. I pass by there almost everyday. I hate that right turn from Brentcliffe onto Eglinton.

First Ride Of The Seaon - *Funny story.. I guess..*

I just spent the last two weeks obsessing over my tail light bulb. Replaced the bulb twice & almost ordered an OEM bulb from the dealer for $15. The tail light was working but brake light wasn't. Even cleaned the terminals with Q-tips. Never occurred to me that the tail light & brake light...

    HOV Lanes Toronto

I know this is a serious sub-forum, but I can't get this thought out of my head: What if I ride alone in the provincial HOV lane wearing a t-shirt that says "If you can read this, the b**** fell off"? :)
