Why are cruisers so darn cheap?

You absolutely cannot go wrong with a GoldWing. I did a couple of road trips to the Blue Ridge Mountains with a buddy that had a 2008 Wing. I rode 2001 VFR and later trips a 2007 ST1300. He rode the wheels of that thing , I could barely keep up to him and believe me I’m no slouch.

Why are cruisers so darn cheap?

I like bikes that I can ride to Shannonville, not at Shannonville.

Why are cruisers so darn cheap?

Yes, the GS750 was an awesome bike. Having said that, Kawasaki was able to pull a rabbit out of their hat in 1980. They took their aging 650 dohc engine and bumped it up to a 750, gave it a newer lighter frame and newer cosmetics and had the fastest 750 with minimal development costs. I had a...

Me too, I’m from the old world of UJM’s (Universal Japanese Motorcycles). If you want to go touring you put on a set of saddlebags, if you want a sport bike you put on a set of low bars and a header, either way you were relatively comfortable.

The ironic part of that was while the Kawasaki LTD flew out dealership doors, you couldn’t give away the ‘78 Kawasaki Z1R’s.They languished on the showroom floors. At least in the US, not so much Canada. Now they are highly desired by collectors. They had so many of them in the US that a company...

    What's your reason

I find that the larger bikes don’t get much better mileage than a Honda Civic.A little maybe but not much.

    What's your reason

Evel Knievel was also a big hero of mine. I was a little too young to remember Caesar’s Palace but clearly remember watching his jump at The CNE on television as well as his controversial Snake River Canyon jump That guy had huge kahunas to do what he did on a Harley ( or Triumph) and not once...

    What's your reason

For me it’s been a lifelong love affair. Started riding mini bikes when I was 9 years old and ridden a few bigger dirt bikes. What really sank the hook for me was riding my brothers ‘72 Kawasaki H2 when I was 15 years old. I was about 100 pounds and could barely touch the ground. That was the...

What did you do in your garage today..?

I would consider going up one tooth on the rear sprocket if you would like a little more punch. I went down one tooth on my front sprocket once and didn’t like it, that’s equivalent to going up about three teeth on the rear. One up on the rear is a nice noticeable compromise.

What did you do in your garage today..?

I know a lot of guys that do that and never had a problem. I probably wouldn’t do it on a Hyabusa though.
