Yes but with motorcycle insurance that might actually be a benefit ;) younger riders statistically get in far less accidents. Not the same for car insurance.

Good luck with your bike, your going to love riding around on your motorcycle when you get it. I think honestly a good choice would be something in the 100hp range, the fz6 as someone else mentioned looks good.. I'm checking out some of the other 600cc bikes that have good upright positions... the vstrom 650... 100hp will be about double what the rc 390 has which seems plenty.

Guys please be careful not to mischaracterize what I'v said, I'm not going to go into as I'v already posted so much in last post, but a couple posts posted while I was writing it up seem to be doing just that.

Not sure what your practicing, but sometimes just a good clear backroad is all you need... in theory of course... I'm lucky in that my driveway is 600'... but its gravel so its not the best.... once I get it paved though it will be pretty good.
