When I was 22 I looked at a CBR600R, the lowest I found was $17,000/yr lol. You're gonna have to wait a few more years.
At 28 I got a zx10r for $2,700/Yr.
Edit: At 29, the zx10r dropped to $1,300/yr.
I ride a 125, so it doesn't really use a lot of gas regardless of how I ride it, but I never care about MPG. I ride for the enjoyment. Enjoyment for me is ripping it at every stoplight (As best as a 125 can do anyway hehe). When I upgrade, I may find a balance between MPG and fun. But right now...
Assuming I'm not at work or home, I generally leave it on. If its REALLY hot out, I will either carry it if I'm walking away from the bike, or throw it on the handle bars if I'm always in sight of it. Helmet I always lock up, never leave it on my handle bars.
Re: What is wrong with you people?
You all laugh, but they actually sell. I bought a '08 with 12k km for 2300. I will be reselling it with 20k km and I have no worries that I will be able to get around 2k.
I'm going to york from Jan -> Sept, I plan on riding every day I can ;). Once summer weather starts of course. Hopefully I'll have my shiney new bike too.

Same gas stations only have off or full blast when puming, I hate those :X, gas gets everywhere lol. Need a little control.
I don't ride with ear protection, wind noise has never really bothered me (maybe helmet better than some??) but even if I wanted to, my ears are weird somehow, nothing stays in them. Earplugs and earbuds alike, they all fall out seconds after putting them in.
Geek reporting in :). Mainly a PC user, but I do have a PS3 for exclusives as well.
Mainly playing Starcraft 2 and Persona 4 (thats right, old school ps2!) right now :D
Hey everyone! Recently stumbled across these forums from a post in reddit (/r/motorcycles) and fell in love instantly. I currently ride a Honda CBR125r, been riding since June, and I plan on upgrading next season. I seriously love riding, especially during the night when there aren't too many...
Only my first year riding, but I have no problem riding in rain or shine. My motorcycle is my only method of transportation (Yeah, I picked a bike over a car, what of it?) and I have to ride it no matter the weather to work. Luckily it hasn't rained a lot this summer :). It's fairly...
