From Calabogie's site: "Motorcycles, the average should be no more than 98 dbA with no single reading over 100 dbA."
I'm running a slip on Hindle (no cat) which measured 98dB when the packing was shot. They passed it but said I was right on the line. The next year I repacked it and it came in...
Ha! You said smooth! :D Yes, it sticks very well. But there are two adhesive sides to it and foam in the middle. The foam does shear when impacted. My Shoei has the evidence. I went down at the track with a helmet cam that hit the ground first and just popped off. I was left with a gob of...
That's one of the things I hate about the law. Person A can interpret it one way, person B can interpret it another. He who buys the most expensive suit wins. I'd prefer if laws were specific and explicit so that we must obey can read it and know exactly what's legal and what is not.
The...
I still think that Judge made an error. He should have spent less time flipping through the dictionary and looked at the actual words in the regulation. Attaching something to the helmet doesn't make shell not smooth. What about the vents and visor? All protrusions that interrupt the smooth...
I'm not sure how the circuit protection is wired when paired. The bottom line is that is doesn't matter. The Canadian units don't have the pairing feature, so it's a moot point.
The Canadian model eu2000 cannot be paired. The paring doesn't meet the Canadian electrical code so that feature has been deleted. I have a Canadian EU2000 in the garage.
I broke my rearset mounting bracket at 'bogie a few months ago. Vortex no longer sells parts for their V1 generation. If you have a bracket or even the whole rearset PM me.
Existing rearset with broken bracket:
It would be funny if the people who have the fewest accidents are the ones who drive assertively by accelerating quickly and stopping quickly as opposed to the zombies for whom driving is distraction getting in the way of their texting.
From personal experience, fixing rust on a car is a waste of time and money. Once the cancer sets in it just keeps going and going. Your rust will be back in a year or so. Especially if you're just doing spot fixes. Free advice, take it for what it's worth.
I received the NVIS document with mine. As far as I'm concerned the NVIS + bill of sale is as good as an MTO ownership. The only risk I see is if someone takes my VIN and registers it out from under me. If that happened it would be a failure by MTO to verify ownership. According to their own...
Agree you should look the bike over thoroughly. I bought mine 4 years ago and it had obviously been down a few times. But it ran well, the forks and frame were straight. In the end it has served me well and I've crashed it a few times myself. My point?
Don't be scared of a used school bike. Do...
I went through this two years ago. The best advice for your own peace of mind is to do your own heat loss calculation. I brought in 8 different contractors and none of them did a heat loss calculation. All of them just asked the square footage and looked at the old furnace (mine was 10 years old...
My track bike has never been registered, it came directly from the factory to the first owner. I have the NVIS (New Vehicle Information Statement) for the bike but no ownership.
