Its a killer ride! i 2UP'D it back in 2009 with my wife and it was the best way to see the island.. we did it on the same trip on Kaua'i which was much more twisty actually ;)

I think I have self control.. There are times I wind it out a little but the fear of hitting someone/something, getting caught by the cops and losing my license (which in turn I lose my job.. which I enjoy).. Therefore I lose my house and my livelyhood.. So yeah I guess I have the fear of...

its relatively straight forward (literally).. It will be at your discretion the amount of comfort and fear you can handle. I'm cool with highways but I'm always fearful of bad drivers and flying debris which is synonymous with highway riding.

I agree with you somewhat.. These are different times but it doesnt necessarily mean we have to shadow our children with ever step they take or hide their eyes to reality.
