Did I ruin this tire?

You can use this as is or mix with water and use it in a spray bottle. They also sell weights and nice tire balancers. Is it me or have tire changing threads replaced oil threads?

That's what I use and love it. But if you get enough to last you years, keep it refrigerated. Left in your garage over a few seasons, it will degrade from a paste into a slime. Just as slippery, but much messier. It's supposedly vegetable based, but not sure if that means vegetable oil or something else.

Yeah, that’s what it says on their website but I had a jar of it in my garage for a number of years and never had that problem. It was vegetable based, I guess they changed their formula.

Looks like my 7lb bucket is almost 12 years old, but I do remember it turning into "honey" after maybe 5 years. I don't know if this had anything to do with it, but the original bucket was cracked on the bottom from shipping, and since the paste wasn't leaking at the time I left it. So it was technically unsealed during those years.

There's also this, but there is such a thing as too much lube and your tire will spin on the rim if applied improperly:

I got a bottle of that to do my lawn tractor tires. Worked well.
