Bought this last week. '09 GSF 1250. Why? I don't know.
Riding home from the dealer (in Fonthill) less than 14kms away, I hit some debris.
Near tossed me over the bars as the front tire exploded. (1" tear near the sidewall).
Tire was brand new. CAA flatbed home, another new tire is on.
Rides silky, and is comfy as can be. Zero tech. (Like me). Factory side luggage, Givi rear box.

Congrats! More new bike fun!

So hold on, you bough this new bike, and you had a misshap on the same time? Crazy, buy a lotto ticket!?

This'll be my 3rd Bandit.
I had '01 and '05 1200's. Sold the '01 with 109,000kms.
Current load has 57,000kms.

This was my '08... Bought new in '08.
I only managed to put 30 some-odd thousand KM on it over 8 years... 'Replaced it with a '16 FJR :)

Congrats on the new ride, like Goaler was my first bike after a 15 year hiatus. I had the 07 a great bike just point and shoot coming out of corners. Lots and lots of low end grunt but runs out of steam up top as you prob know.
Good distance tourer also as revs stay low at highway speeds and the half fairing does its thing.
Regret selling mine..a 2010 Sprint is the replacement

Nice bike, a friend of mine had an earlier air cooled version. A slip on exhaust and jet kit really woke those things up. Not sure about the liquid cooled version, I didn’t know they transitioned to loquid cooling.

Has the Millgrove Magician had a look at the fjr?

'Last time he saw my FJR it was only in his mirrors from a distance as I had a hard time keeping up with his somewhat spirited pace.;)

I put a D&D on my '01......loud af. Also went 1 tooth down front, up 1 rear......that was a decent wake up.
Hindle on the 05. No plans for exhaust trickery on this one. It's a low budget bike......it even runs on regular.
