That’s how I do it. 5 minute install, one wire to your flasher relay, one to ground. BEEP!Here you go folks, i remember when a few models had these as OEM and they were annoying AF.

Despite all my bikes having auto-cancel, I still hit the cancel button every single time. That way I am sure they are off.
Pretty smooth. Would you wear seatbelts even if they wern't mandated by law?To answer your question, yes, I obey laws.
It's been working in car for decades. Not rocket science. If it was mandated I'm pretty sure the all those engineers could soon figure it out. Of all the tech they now install on bikes I can't believe SCS are really the edge of the envelope.Auto-cancelling tech doesn't work all the time.

Now you're grasping at straws. Automotive stuff works well enough. it's not very often you follow a car with a blinker on, compared to almost every group or demo ride. @TwistedKestrel gets it.Except that it doesn't.
This video is recent, only 2 years old:
They still cancel too early (2:13) and sometimes do not cancel at all (3:40).
Try it in your car, you will find that it's your own muscle memory from decades of driving that automatically and manually fixes the self-cancelling problems that cars today still have. How many times have you seen drivers forget to cancel their signal on the highway after a lane change, driving for kms with their turn signal on because the steering wheel hasn't turned far enough back to activate the SCS?

Except that it doesn't.
Automotive SCS are not perfect and do still require manual intervention
