Doesn’t matter what bike I add to the stable, I’ve got to “make it better”.


It’s near the end of the season for many of us. I know there are year rounders etc.

For me, I’m doing little things to keep comfortable during cooler temps. Installed a windshield which does a great job at highway speed. Looks hideous but, I’m still riding.

I’m looking at bar end mirrors as the previous owner has this really nice looking billet jobs but, only display more forearms. Moving my clutch hand for a peak behind gets annoying.

Changed out the oil and filter and instantly improved finding neutral and overall shifts. Plans for the winter include fresh fluids for the forks and brakes.

Marketplace has different seats and other items that I don’t need or want but, save and review and contemplate etc.


Why can’t I simply enjoy what I have and leave things alone?

Oh, and then I see a GTS Vespa that could be a hoot that will fit nicely beside the Bonnie. I’m truly ill.

If that's an illness, you're in good company. I think we all like making our toys "our own". Do we need exhausts, clear clutch covers, carbon bits, etc....? No, but by George, what else are we going to spend our children's college funds on?!? And besides, nothing beats an afternoon on the wrenches and having a beer in the garage with a buddy.
 
I do need heated grips.


But, I should make sure they are compatible with a throttle lock.


I’m not sure if these gloves will do the job. I better be smart and plan ahead and get those heated jobs. But, I just ordered heated grips. Well those work nicely when you didn’t expect the cold. The gloves keep your entire hands warm. Yup, order both.

Market place has someone selling theirs. When they are a medium, are they are “large” medium or just a medium medium? Ah, just get em and if they fit a little tight or a little big, they will be back up for the pillion.

While scrolling market place, someone is selling black laced rims that fit my bike. Bet they will look sweet on my bike.


Stop it. You have enough. You’ve got work to do.

Our riding circle is terrible in terms of spreading farkle ideas like a virus.

One of our riding buddies gets one of those silicone exhaust guards. Now we all have them.
Another gets a seal saver that you can clip onto your fork tube. Now we all have them.
I got a collapsible trail stand. Now the whole group has one.

Every ride becomes a big commercial for why you need that new farkle, especially when you see it in action. :rolleyes:

Can’t decide on auxiliary lights. I’ve got engine guards with a place to mount them. Do I get one or a pair? Do I really need them or is it just for looks? It’s getting dark sooner and would be nice to have. Which reminds me, maybe I should upgrade the headlight……..

As I type this, my phone displays headlights and such……..


Oh! A helmet with the same colours as the bike………I don’t need another helmet…………wonder if I can add the sena comm unit I have to it?


I’m just gonna spend some time on YouTube getting some ideas………..
