Small exhaust leak around slipon

Hi,

I put on a full system and a slipon. However I can seem to get the exhaust leak around the slipon to go away. I think it’s being caused by these little notches. Any idea how to seal this?

Also the exhaust still has room to “slip on” so
I don’t think it’s sitting all the way to the back bac use if I push it 100% in it doesn’t align with the mounting bolt for it.

Are the notches in a gasket? If yes, remove gasket from the female part, put gasket on end of male part, tape in place and then add female part. This would ensure that the solid part of the gasket is fully engaged and that should seal.

Both the slipon and headers are for China. It looks like the headers are 1/4 inch too short. I think im going to have to use a gasket sealer because the slipon doesn’t sit 100% into pipe.

Use a T-bolt clamp on it. They can be found nice and cheap at Princess Auto in the hydraulics section.

Also... we might be totally missing something obvious. A better picture of more of the system might help... Including the mount.

The header pipe goes past the notches, it should bottom out on the pipe.

A spacer won’t stop the leak unless you weld it on.

I’d find a way to alter the mounting bracket, or rerun it and buy setup from a reputable maker… not some Chinese knockoff.
