Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

When I glanced at the picture, I thought it was your garage post-fire.
LOL.

Here's what my garage looked like after; I'm pretty sure I posted a picture of it going up. It actually looks better than it could, because the firefighters kept tossing stuff away as they were able to.

Somewhere, I think behind the table saw, is the engine that @Ash so kindly gave me. :(. I tried pulling it out when I did a run to the dump/salvage. It's pretty much welded into so much crap I couldn't budge it.

LOL. We’re laughing at it and someone else is monetizing it. I wonder if the guy saw it here?

Edit: it looks like they got their money’s worth of fun.

"1600 bucks on Marketplace"
"That's a lotta money" "That is a lot of money"
"No that's a ******* good deal, you can't even get a street bike that runs for 1600 bucks, boys"
"Didn't you get the Ninja for less than that?"
"Dude I paid 2200 bucks for that Ninja"
"The green one?!" "You got ******"
"Oh ya I got ******"

I'm not going to lie. I subscribed after watching that video. Guys having a riot while not putting anyone else at risk, and they're hilarious.

Would you like to buy this bike that has no front brake and a self proclaimed "sucky rear"?

Bolt on rigid rear frame and a rusty fuel tank.

What a great track bike. /s The chance of getting that thing certified is very close to zero.

"This is not to be ridden by an amateur." nor anybody else. It's an objet d'art in Ontario at this point.

This guy has quite a nice little collection for sale in the east end of Toronto. I particularly like the very limited edition Suzuki GS1000S.Each Suzuki dealer got one in 1979 for a total of about 800. He was asking $6900 before Covid , never sold it and now he’s asking $18,000. Some nice mods but I think that actually reduces the value. They don’t come up for sale very often.

Gotta love people. For $1,800 I might consider it but probably still not interested.

I love those 80's inline 4's, but he's way overpriced for everything on that ad. Any mods made to the GS1000 devalues it to collectors. I understand replacing sacked out, old suspension components. The aftermarket pipes on the GS and CB900F aren't even period correct.

I had an ‘81 GS1100 exactly like the black one he’s asking $10,000 for. At the very, very best a mint low mileage one might go for $5,000 on a good day,it was the Hyabusa of its time, a fantastic motorcycle but they just built so many of them that they’re not worth a whole lot. Guys are still drag racing those things to this day. For some reason Kawasaki sport bikes of that era command a higher price tag. Their performance reputation was based on their 2 stroke triples and 4 stroke 900 before they had any serious competition from Suzuki.

It looks like someone cut off the bracket on the frame that held the passenger foot pegs and the stock exhaust. And the blue saddle looks like crap. That bike in stock original condition would be highly collectible in my opinion though.

This reminds me I saw a CB1100F come up for sale somewhere this month. It doesn't appear to be listed anymore, so I guess they got what they were asking (wasn't cheap)

There was one on Facebook marketplace owned by a Honda mechanical and he was asking $14,000 or thereabouts for it . Nice bike but I think about half that would be more realistic. Lots of early 80’s Honda 900 Super Sports for sale though, price is all over the map on those based on condition. Nice bike, almost identical to the 1100.
