Supernaked to Supermoto

Hey Killvino,

to answer your question in the first post, I would personally not make that switch. The bike you have is such a beauty and I guess I have not personally outgrown how much I like the sportier looking motorcycles.

Having said that, if I lived downtown and were to need something nimble to take me around traffic, I would opt for the Svartpilen 401. I hear it can go over everything and take you through nooks and crannies to beat traffic downtown everytime.

I would get myself in trouble though.

That's how I felt for about 30 years as a die hard sport bike rider. Looks are subjective, but they start looking better once you've had the pleasure of riding one. That's when you realize they're so much better than a sport bike everywhere except at highway speeds.

I just got a text from Peak that the KTM demo day is back on Wed July 13. I'm booked for 1pm on the 690 SMCR.
barrie or oakville?

yup. starting to dig the looks of supermotos but just cant get over the sound most make.
I'd love to grab an SXV like you but worried about the maintenance and supply of parts.
(it would not be my daily)

Ironically for this season I'm going from supermoto to superbike because of a $7 shift return spring that took over 2 months to arrive (came in Friday). I had already started resurrecting my old sport bike, so we'll see how long I can last before switching back.
