Cable Lube

What type of lube is recommended these days for old dry cables ?

I seem to recall that years ago the recommendation was for a graphite type material that would be poured into an elevated cable

One of the best tools I have ever bought. Tricky to figure it out at first and avoid spraying lube all over but once you figure it out, makes it so easy to complete the job without having to remove the cables.

I tried this stuff last season and it worked well for me:
I put that **** on everything.

I have one of those cable lubers and I've given up on it ever working for me. Last time I just put some motor oil in a sandwich bag, taped it to one end of the cable then hung it upside down until I got oil out the other end
