Me too, I have the same query and I am not an anti-vaxxer.
Multiple sources of information (too numerous to quote, please do your own research
) state that even with the vax, one can still be a carrier and/or get the sickness and that the currently dominant Omicron strain does not have the same rank of fatality as the Delta strain. There is also the negative of possible myocarditis to contend with.
I did ask my family doctor and his answer mimics what Ontario Public Health is saying
i.e. get the third shot.
As has been earlier pointed out in this thread, some of the commonly accepted traditional vaccines are multi-dose. At least there is a finite limit on those. With the COVID vaccines, there does not seem to be an end to the line up of boosters.
It is a known scientific fact that the virus/protein will mutate, will we naturally shrug off the mutations or will a booster be required each and everytime?
Or, will it be an alternate strategy to only "booster" the vulnerable?

Semantics yes they are forced. If you can’t work can’t even leave your own country(. Unvaccinated can’t even get on a plane train or bus or boat to leave this country even if another country would accept them like Costa Rica or somewhere else, that is forced) then you have no choice they are forced. read the stuff that's out there...watch Dr. John Campbell on YouTube...follow Dr. Rodrick Lim on Facebook...they're all saying it's (omicron that is) very mild, similar to a flu...and the majority of infections are in the vaccinated...possibly because the efficacy of the vaccines is waning, possibly because the vaccines aren't effective against it at all...I don't care if this becomes like an annual flu shot, that's fine...just don't mandate it like they have the initial two doses in some sectors...

I'm not in hurry to run out and get a booster (third shot whatev). I'm double shotted and well getting more juiced up doesn't interest me just yet. Delta didn't seem to be as bad as they thought. Omi yes is different, suppose to be more contagious, the growing cases seem to support this.
Everywhere I check it's a waiting list. I don't know how many people booked at multiple locations and are jamming the system.

My friend and I are guessing as to how many boosters before the majority of the population say eff this and stop getting them. My guess is the third booster will see fewer than 50% of the population. Although most vaccines require more than a single shot, none require 3 or more every year. Even the flu shot (which has been around for almost 90 years and we still have the flu) is only once a year.
Very true. I think a lot of people will change thier mind if we start seeing daily counts of 12,000 tho.
A quiet space with the ability to look away and not see other needles. About 10% of the population has an issue but not to the same degree. My buddy sometimes faints.
My brother was exactly like that. Then he had a mild heart attack. Phobia gone.

@Mad Mike sorry to hear that about your wife testing positive...however, based on what I've heard, since she's double vaccinated and hopefully healthy otherwise, she shouldn't feel anything worse than a mild flu for a few days...and as long as you stay away from her (separate bedrooms, bathrooms, don't be together in the same room without masks on for long periods of time), then you too should be ok...10 days will suck...
Does this not seem somewhat reminiscent of the American war on drugs? Have a drug problem, spend money on police and prisons. Problem gets worse, spend more money on police and prisons. Problem gets worse again and again, clearly we're not spending enough on police and prisons.
The problem with this vaccine is that it only prevents symptoms from being as severe as in unvaccinated people. This is a problem because that then creates an army of asymptomatic people roaming around with more freedoms than the unvaccinated. Much like every other decision made during this episode, poorly thought out, and even worse execution.
Thats actually ********. Further, there are tons of vaccines that need more than two shots. I’m getting tired of this crap now. Read. Educate yourself. Get your booster.

I don't know of another vaccine that needs multiple shots every year, The Unvaccinated cannot even leave the country if they want to because they're not allowed to board any kind of conveyance that will take them across the border so they are forcing you to take the shots just to be mobile. The cases in the vaccinated are now almost triple the unvaccinated. ....:nothing I said was untrue or ********. Educate yourself seems more likely to apply to you. Please point out anything I said that was untrue
Q. If you have 95 vaccinated people, and 5 unvaccinated and the hospital has 5 unvaccinated and 5 vaccinated patients in with COVID related issues. What’s the actual incidence of hospitalization of vaccinated vs unvaccinated?
Q. How many vaccine shots does HPV, diphtheria, seasonal flu, tetanus require?
Answer those. Clue, the answers aren’t on Facebook.

Where did I mention the incidences in hospital between the vaccinated and unvaccinated??? I said infections are 300% higher in the vaccinated and it would make sense that eventually hospitalizations and deaths would follow that. You're taking some thing and making it sound like you wanted it to sound.
There are no vaccines that require 3 shots in a few months and then a booster every year that I'm aware of. Even the ones you mentioned don't have that. At this point no one will say how many boosters will be needed .
You are just angry about nothing and making up your own narrative ,
