Where to buy motorcycle jacket hangers?

Where do the motorcycle clothing manufacturers get their hangers from? I'm talking about these heavy duty black plastic hangers that are able to carry over 10lbs of leather jacket and armour without bending or snapping:

I've tried the suit jacket hangers made out of wood with the molded shoulders but they're just not the same. These are the ones I've tried:

All of these hangers have the problem that either the metal that the hook is made of is too flimsy for the weight, or the way the hook is attached to the wood is not strong enough, or the shoulders are too slippery and the jacket doesn't stay on...

I would like the exact same hanger that the motorcycle clothing manufacturers use. Can't find them online anywhere.

Bickle has some nice ones.

Yeah, I saw that. That's a version of the "World's Strongest Coat Hanger":

I'd like the shoulders more flared. Exactly like the ones from the OEM motorcycle clothing manufacturers.

I got a bunch of wooden hangers from IKEA, and they seem to work well for my jacket.

Have you tried putting some hockey tape or something on the wooden hangers?

I found a few options, but most of them come in boxes of 100+ for commercial use. This pack of 15 is the smallest quantity I could find in a reasonable design, but that's still $75 for coat hangers. Group buy, I guess? Even that pack of 15 looks like it has a weak attachment of the hook to the plastic body.

If you've got the wooden ones lying around you could consider clipping off the weak hooks and through-bolting a strong S-hook (or two) from the hardware store, or grabbing some heavy wire stock and fabbing up a wire bending jig to make your own hooks.

Would this work?

Oooh, yes! Those look good. Thank you!

Maybe go by some shops to see if they can give you a few? I suppose there must be people who buy the jackets and not take the hanger.

OMGWTF How did this happen?!?

Shipping was $9.99 for a $15 item.

Ugh.

But free shipping for orders over $49.

Cool. So I'll just add an item or two to get free shipping.

So I did indeed qualify for free shipping... after I ended up buying over $80 worth of "additional items"...

*le sigh*

I've got one or two you're welcome to have, but you may have to ride a distance /s

Got some good ones with my suits from a decent tailor.

Some of the official plastic ones don't last long either.

Any Royal Distributing store will give you some if you ask at the cash,I got about 15 a few weeks back.
That's good to know. Expensive free hangers though for LC unless he gets some help. He's looking at a 7000 km ride to pick them up.

What is it the kids say these days? Something along the lines of, "I feel seen..."

wooden hangers and a mini glue gun

Zigzag the glue where the shoulders sit on hanger and let it dry, prevent slipping off.

Works with all your gowns too. I know, so mean!
