Go-kart track days for supermotos in Ontario?

Explain me where/how I can race 50cc bikes in Ontario?!

Are these two strokes or chinese pocket bikes? Or super fancy Italian pocket bikes?
Some go kart tracks have race days/evenings. Afaik, they don't care whether you bring chinesium or euro bikes. The only time I heard of anyone having issues is when someone brought a Honda "50" to a mini-bike event with a displacement of something like 125 or better.

Monday Nights in the winter we go to Formula Kartways in Brampton. 95% of the bikes there are Honda 50s, only rule is that it needs to be a 10" wheel max, so typically a 50 frame. Lots of guys have put in bigger Chinese motors, but there's still a bunch with stock 50s. That indoor track is mainly just run in 2nd gear as it's tight and slippery.

The outdoor day we just did in Brechin was a big track so we were pinned in third gear the whole time. Toni Sharpless is going to be running a mini moto series out there using ttr110 bikes. You could spend $6k+ on a fancy Ohvale,or spend $1-2k on a sweet Honda 50 and mods that has nothing to really get damaged when you crash.

I likey me two strokes. I has a YSR80 and a GPR50R. The YSR has 12" wheels and the GPR 17" wheels. :(

Tell me moar about these Honda 50s? Google search nets me too many models. I'm guessing not the old trail bikes?

Is racing happening this winter? Where can I find more info on Forumla Kartways "series", I'm guessing it's just a track rental and they don't advertise it?

You guys do a point series or is it just lapping?

I remember back in the day when those chinese pockets bikes were all the rage there was an unofficial series at 401 Mini Indy.

Any other GTA options? Though I don't mind travelling. A mini bike winter series sounds insanely fun.

Because it's indoors, 2-strokes are a no go. The main ones people ride are XR50 and CRF50 or the occasional Z50r which is what I ride. The Formula Kartways day is run by Hondamini.com, he rents the track and then we show up and give him $40. It's just open lapping, but you end up "racing" with others. It's a stupid amount of fun. We all communicate via an instagram group, but I can keep you in the loop on here. Obviously with Covid we're not entirely sure of this winter season.

When we went down to Kart2Kart in the states in early March, they had a couple actual races and their track was bigger and faster.

If you do get a bike for FK, get Shinko White wall tires, they stick the best there

I'm all about that Japanese reliable indestructability, no way I'm gettin an Italian bike.

So some quick and dirty skimming looks like the Z50R became the XR50 which became the CRF50.

Looks like the XR50 and CRF50 are basically the same bike except for the plastics?

And the Z50R has a much higher seat and handlebars the the XR50/CRF50. I'm only 5'4" on a good day. The Z50R does look a lot more comfortable than the XR50/CRF50.

-Which one is more fun at the "track"?
-Which one is more capable at the "track"?
-Which one requires less work for an "adult" to ride them at the "track"? (In all fairness, I wouldn't say I'm at all adult sized, more like "small teenager").

Other than ergonomics and tires, what other prep do these bikes need for some slippery indoor kart track action?

Most people run an XR or CRF as they are the same and parts are more accessible. Taller bars and better suspension to fit an adult are the typical "mods", and you'll likely be able to find some already done. For indoor we also have little catch cans (made from tiny pill bottles) to catch fuel when you crash, which happens all the time indoors as the track is tight and slidy.

Many also eventually put a bigger motor in or do some work on the 50s, but you can still have fun on a stock 50

There are 2 more days happening outdoor at Brechin, Friday Sept.25 and Saturday October 10 .

start a team.
this ad was offered up by @GVH
$750 each, several available I believe (old school bikes)
would be great if someone bought a bunch and rented them out at kart tracks

He wanted way too much money. We mostly go to 3S in Sutton now. There is a group chat on instagram where stuff gets "organized" message @hondaministunt on there to be added
