Borrow some Dot 3/4/5.1 Lines

Hi.

I was wondering if anyone around the Junction area in Toronto had some spare lines I could borrow for a few days to run some tests on. Long story short, Ive had front system issues since the fresh installation of braided lines and never assumed it to be them. Ive replaced every part except my “new” lines and still to no avail. I am wondering if they were defective from the get go so if someone had a spare pair of decently long ones lying around I would love to walk over or TTC to borrow them.

Good idea. On a car, I had a clutch that would not cooperate. In desperation I replaced the braided line with a rubber line and was running in minutes.
 
What is your issue?
You have been bleeding the thing forever and it won't develop pressure?
Did you pre-bleed the master? (if you didn't: pump up the master the best you can and hold. Crack the banjo on the master, just a bit, till something comes out. REPEAT several times till no air escapes, then re-bleed the system).
Have you tried bleeding it OFF the bike, on the bench?

Do you have one line from the master to one caliper, then another line over the wheel to other side? If so remove the line that goes to the other caliper, and bleed it, THEN re-install that line and re-bleed it. This is a dumb setup that just make it hard to bleed. Run two lines from the master.

About the only thing that goes wrong with SS lines is they leak... they're a pretty simple assembly

Same issue as before but im running new parts. I did try pre bleeding last time but ill do it again. yeah i tried bleeding off the bike.

no i have race setup. two lines from MC

My braided line with an issue was brand new and there were no visible issues either while connected and pumping nor upon inspection after removal. It just wouldn't bleed. Rubber hose was same path and same length. My only guess is a pinhole somewhere in the line. I just left the rubber in as it was just a clutch and never went back to the braided.

Well thats reassuring i hope it is something like that. Id rather deal with that and just buy new lines than something else
