Well it helps when you break the wheels. There appear to be at least two wheels that shattered.

Speed may have been a factor but guessing the driver also ran out of driving skill about the time the tires initially broke loose.
Really makes me wish that I could have pulled the video from my security system of the older woman who pulled into my parking spot late at night, while I was away at the track, stopped, started pulling forward again, jumped the curb, the drove across 50 feet of grass to hit the gas meter on the front of a neighbour's unit. Unfortunately it chose that weekend to crap out and I could view, but not dump the data.
It seems that every security video the news gets is from a video camera pointed at a screen playing a video. I'm not sure if the systems are obstinate about providing files or the users have no idea how to use their systems.

There is a better video of the Brampton crash you posted. I saw it today on Facebook, it's normal not someone recording a video of a playing video. I shake my head when I see content like what you linked to. They obviously have the file playing on the computer but want it on the phone, and instead of going to link on the phone, they record it??? Bah.. just as dumb as bad drivers.

Pete (today's northumberland owner/reporter) keeps doing segments with the cops on the 401 at ~Wesleyville. Each story has the cops pinching two to five people a day for 150+ in addition to all of the normal tickets. I strongly dislike 172 as you are guilty before you you have your day in court but at least the 50 over section is easy for a driver to avoid running afoul of. I'd be a lot more concerned if he was using the much more subjective parts of 172 to tow the vehicles.

Apparently red boat suffered a propulsion or steering failure prior to crash. Not sure what happened to communication that had oncoming boat pile it at speed. Red boat already had a decent scar further back so that captain may go with the driving by braille approach.
From John Zaleski (some guy who posted in the youtube comments): "Apparently the red boat had lost all power to control the ship and the other boat came at it to stop any real damage to the locks. The ship captains were in communication with each other all the time...this was an intentional crash. "
Skip the first 22 seconds if you want to avoid watching someone driving in the left lane at 03:18 with nobody in two lanes to the right of them.
