Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2019 Edition)

The wind was just nasty. Whatever warmth the sun brought was dampened by the wind. A few times I has to really crouch like as if I was on a sportbike. :ROFLMAO:, even still I did see a few others out there. (y)
Next week looks like the temps are going up, but with lots of rain, so maybe the week after things might really turn around.
Getting there.

I'm on self isolation right now....so I've spent the last 2 days in my garage working on the bikes:

- Installing power to my top box for charging my drone, heated vests, etc.
- Installing heavier power & a relay to the front to power my Wolo Bad Boy horn.
- Installing a 2 port USB charger to the front end so that I don't have to have cables dangling out of the cigarette lighter all the time for phone charging.
- Installing a set of Oxford heated grips on my wifes bike so she can finally enjoy the cool weather riding a little more.

I wanted to remove the risers that are on my handlebars (installed by previous owner but I don't like them) but I discovered that the bolts that are in there now are too long to re-use without the risers in place...and of course, I can't actually just go to Home Depot or whatever to buy replacements right now.

I also want to do oil changes on both bikes...but yeah, same issue......being socially conscious and all that good stuff.

Hacksaw the bolts down? Put a nut on their first and then un-thread it after the cut.

Unfortunately they're only partly threaded - the area where the riser was has no threads....so without the riser there's just nothing to thread onto.

Have it delivered. F9

It's going to be one of those "bring the handlebar brackets and measurements of the bolt size I need and then stand there and find one that fits" scenarios moreso than a "I know the part numbers and can just order replacements", however. The other issue is I don't know if the handlebar clamps themselves are stock either so even if I ordered the factory parts they may not fit.

It's no rush...once I'm cleared to be part of society again I'll hit Home Depot. I have plenty of other crap I can do on the bike in the meantime. ;)

I went out for a little ride yesterday. iIt was +8 when I left home in the afternoon. Fun playing in the wind gusts! Temps dropped quickly in the last hour from +6 to -2. Cold hands when gassing up near home (should have left my gloves on!)

-12 on the way in to work this morning.

Tomorrow, Friday and Sunday are looking pretty good. I thought this afternoon might be ok, but doesn't look like we will reach the high of 6, so I will just wait.

Went for a longer ride today since the weather appeared to be better. The afternoon really greyed over.

Went along Lakeshore to Mississauga rd

Then straight up to the forks. No one around
Then to Alton/Orangeville/Hockley

Pit stop near the Orangeville reservoir
Hockley Valley/Down 50 to hwy 9/Newmarket/Auroa/Markham/home

Good stretch, a few more riders out

Sent from the moon!

Sound like you got a good amount of kms in that ride.

What the story/history on that old ship in the photo? Never seen it before.
