Same year, same model, same miles...I remember selling it for a very good price and had a guy buy it, a while later an omvic investigator showed up, saying he was investigating the guy selling it(apparently they were curb siding and the bike was still in my name lol..99% sure its these guys, the name is def familiar)

He hasn't posted any pictures of the right side because theres a minor crack in the fairing

he says the bike is stock(which its not, previous owner did a few mods to it)

He's even put 2 pictures in the same ad with 2 separate bikes!(notice the ABS in the second pic..lol)

Be careful when buying bikes out there folks

The omvic guys have been on their case. Wouldnt surprise me

When selling a vehicle I've started going to Service Ontario and removing the vehicle from my name if the buyer hasn't transferred it yet.

I posted about this some time back when I went to report my old car as having been sold (since I got a bit of a sketchy feeling about the buyers) and discovered that I had a lot of old vehicles still in my name that people never bothered to transfer - my horse trailer I sold 3 years ago, a travel trailer I sold some time around 1994, and even my original motorcycle that I sold in the late 90's as well. All were still showing in my name. They are no longer.

that is creepy to say the least

The investigator said he would take care of it, and it would no longer be in my name

But that is something to consider for the future

The horse trailer was bought by someone with grand ideas that fell apart...and I guess they decided to just to to re-sell it without paying the taxes to put it in their name first.

The old travel trailer was actually a small 1970's camper which after I sold it might have went to some private property or whatever, who knows, but apparently it never saw the road ever again. I highly doubt it's still even around anymore, but who knows.

The motorcycle had a bent shift fork when I sold it so I'm guessing it was parted out..so again, buyer didn't transfer it to avoid the taxes.

The same used to happen to boats. I was adamant that the transfer take place. If some drunk runs over a bunch of swimmers there is no way I want the OPP knocking on my door.

Once I had someone look me up to get me to sign a statement that I no longer owned a specific bike... cause the person I sold it to never registered it and "lost" the ownership.

The last bike I sold, the buyer revealed themselves at the end of the transaction to be a crazy person. I was counting down the minutes until I could get to Service Ontario and turn in the plate and certify that I no longer owned it.
