This was posted literally on the last page lol

$18k for a brand new bike that has yet to be delivered:

Claims to have paid $22k (retail starts at $13k for the base model...)

Would love to know the full story. #popcorn

Didn't see it. But ya...that's brutal what he paid.
He could probably get out of the purchase if he reports it to omvic. I think they have rules against overcharging unless it all upgrades and the extended warranty.

Saw this the other day and died. Of all things to cafe, the drz is not one.

The ad is gone already, do you suppose he sold it already? I saw it and didn't much like it. I have seen a few pics online of nice custom DRZs, but they had a whole different look.

It's a bargain if he chose every available upgrade lol.
I just built on and choose everything I thought would give it more cred (like bags, blacked out pipes, abs, double saddle seatbacks) and it's over 20 grand now. Add HST and wham!

Ok so list is 13k. What is the exhaust and install? Extended warranty? Will it really get to 5k before taxes?

Now the poor sod is trying to get out of it.

Ive slipped on a few banana peels in my life time but, that one would take the cake.

This has to be the worlds most expensive sportster that isn't customized.

Looks like they are just eating the taxes and hoping someone will take over the balance.

But the buyer is going to have to pay taxes anyways. So who would want this deal?????

Go to the HD site and select the build option and start clicking on everything cool. It adds up fast.

Pushing $8,000 for a 12-year old bike imported from the USA, with 122,000+KM. Yes, admittedly, it is well-farkled, but that doesn't make it a unicorn. Thanks BMW Toronto. Well, the service might be arrogant, but at least the bikes are over-priced.

You just know someone is going to pay it, so they can be an ADV hero on Instagram and park it on Ossington while they eat artisanal chimichangas, or whatever's hip these days...

To me the picture of the odometer shows 7670.3 miles, or 12344KM. This is a common mistake I see on Kijiji where people don't know the last digit is a 1/10 fraction, but you'd think a dealer would know better.

Yep.

The ad copy also states, "U.S. import with 76,703 miles on the clock."

If it is only 12,000K, then that makes a slight difference in the price/value equation. At 122K, it's well past its reasonable half-life, regardless of how many long-haul Beemer fans weigh-in with stories of of 300+ GS' out there.

Paying a rock-bottom price for a bike you'll ride to the very end of its life is a different rationale than paying the equivalent of a new bike of equal displacement (hello Yamaha FJ-09), riding it until you're done and then maintaining some value at resale...

On that particular bike, that is not a decimal point. The trip meter has a decimal spot, but not the odometer. It actually has 76703 miles on it. For $8000? Not in.
