Tweaked front forks / how to diagnose and fix

I thought hex and Allen were the same?

Same shape but one goes in and one goes out. Allen needs to enter the hex and a hex bolt needs to enter a socket.

Hey Drennan, If you can let me know the size I can look through my tools. I'm close to you, living near Sydenham, but work in Kingston. L

I'm gonna make a trip into Princess Auto tomorrow and grab the right ones for the job. Might as well get the tools my bike requires since i plan on keeping it for a long time.

Thanks tho

Ah yes. Allen = hex socket.

I was going to say they shouldn't be that hard to find in a store somewhere.

OMG derailed again. Been following this technical thread with great interest and because of, or maybe despite, some major stumbling blocks I was rooting for our intrepid op's slaying of this tool sourcing riddle. At least we've established which socket and key goes where. Will be watching for updates and as always, Godspeed.

Atta boy, just roll with it. Let this be a learning experience for our short Canadian riding season. Pull this kind of nonsense late July, you might be landlocked 'til Labour Day. A valuable and instructive lesson for anybody following this "how not to" unbolt something thread.

Nonsense as in taking stuff on your bike apart? Not sure what you're saying here.
